While many companies have exciting views from their offices
in New York City, few have a 180 degree view of the Hudson
River and direct view of the Statue of Liberty.
CPG created an exciting 3D space to support the extraordinary
exterior view. In order to make the open work area feel much
higher and brighter, CPG specially designed the workstations
with lower curved dividing panels to simulate the shapes one
sees in the river. The free form acoustical shapes provide
some visual and acoustical privacy yet promote the interaction
and sharing of ideas. The ceiling was designed at different
heights incorporating a colorful curved neon strip winding
through the office, again simulating the shapes one sees in
the river. Ceiling materials were varied to accent and enhance
the spaces below. CPG used a combination of hard surface sheetrock,
sound absorbing acoustical tile and perforated reflective
metal tile in the high tech work areas to compliment the work.
