Vertrue’s CEO wanted to break out of the private offices
and tall panel workstations in their move to Norwalk, CT.
The desire to promote interaction, collaboration and flexibility
became the motive force behind the design. Everyone got
the same work area, a completely mobile “free floating”
ensemble of table, files and storage, all on wheels and with
no barriers. Coiled power and data drops termed “pythons”
or “I.V.s” (information viaducts) from the ceiling
to each
work area allow everyone to set up as they wish. Vertrue
and CPG took care to bring the employees along during the
design process with a series of meetings, contests and a
project website. The result at move-in was a cultural sea-
change enthusiastically embraced and praised by everyone.
